&history; Alexandre Wolfe covered the eyes of Mallory Wolfe as he slowly guided her into the hallway. She giggled as her socks slipped over the hardwood floors. She was 7 months pregnant with their third child. They had argued over the child's name just about everyday since they found out it was going to be a girl. Suddenly, Mallory's feet gripped onto a soft carpet, and Alexandre removed his hands.
Mallory gasped as she looked around her. Alexandre had gone through all of the trouble to make a new room just for the baby. He had painted the walls a sky-lit blue, and painted white clouds and a big sun in the middle of the room. 2 windows revealed a great view overlooking the lake behind their house. A small mahogany crib that had rockers beneath the long legs. A small changing station almost directly behind the crib. A toy box filled with soft toys and chewwies. And, of course, a small wooden rocking chair that was just the perfect size for Mallory to sit in and rock their perfect little girl to sleep. He had made almost everything in the room all by himself.
Tears sprang to her eyes, seeing how everything was so beautiful. She hugged him and kissed him for days and told him how very much she loved it. And yet, they continued to argue over the name of their daughter; "She is definitely a Heikdrun Ezelle!" cried Alexandre at Mallory one night. She was standing at the kitchen counter chopping up fresh strawberries to put in a fruit salad for her other 2 children, an angry countenance thrown on her face. "She is definitely a Kattali Spruce!" she screamed back at him.
They continued to argue and argue over the names until the moment he was finally born.
It was a bright, sunny day, that February 13th, 17 years ago. Mrs. Wolfe went through almost 7 hours of harsh labour. Mr. Wolfe was very supportive, holding her hand and not leaving her side for a minute through the entire process, until, finally, their second beautiful baby girl was born at 2:24 on a Thursday afternoon.
As soon as she was born and washed off, her father wrapped him in a warm blanket, and rocked her to sleep. He took one look at her beautiful smile, and gazed deeply into her blue-green eyes, and announced, "She is most definitely an Autumn Lorrainne." He smiled down at Mallory, who was smiling right back at him, a tear forming in her eye as she held her beautiful new-born daughter for the very first time.
But things didn't always work that smoothly for the family...
For the first few weeks, Alexandre and Mallory were more than happy with their new child. They loved her more than they loved anything else on planet earth besides their other 2 children, and visualized all three of them as perfect little angels. Every day, they would spend as much time with Autumn as they possibly could; talking to her and cooing at her, singing to her every night, cuddling with her and her siblings at bedtime, even taking her for walks around the block in a little red wagon with her brother and sister that Mr. Wolfe had crafted and painted all by himself.
Until, one day when Autumn came to get her out of bed and she wasn't there. Scared out of her mind, she called Alexandre, who was at work, bursting with tears. He rushed home as soon as he could. They searched everywhere possible, and finally called the police.
For weeks, search warrants scanned the country for her, when Mallory finally found her while getting some bread out of the cupboard. She had somehow landed on top of the fridge, giggling and cooing to herself. But what she found even more odd was that she held a lava lamp in her right hand. Mystified, Mallory called off all of the search parties and called the local police to take down all of the posters around town.
From then on, Autumn's parents kept a very close eye on her, as she would disappear at random points and come back days later with new exotic items. They grew to be a little bit scared ofAutumn, sometimes.
Her parents knew she was different, but loved and accepted her just the same. Still, she would continue to randomly disappear, which was dangerous and scary for them, but they continued to see past that.
When Autumn was 3 years old, her mother gave birth to their second son, Gustav Grenier Wolfe, Autumn's baby brother. She loved her little brother, for he was her only friend besides her older brother and sister. For years, the 4 children loved eachother like all siblings should.
When Autumn was about 12, a most tragic thing happened; hier father was out in the woods cutting holly for Christmas with their Uncle, when he was killed by a mysterious passing traveler. Her mother and Father quickly packed their things, and took all of the kids with them to Mallory's mother and father's house out in Dublin.
Mallory's parents welcomed the 10 of them in, and they were treated and loved with lots of care and attention on the small farm out in the country.
She lived a good life there with her family, they loved her a lot and she loved them, but she knew he was different, and she just didn't feel right, therefore, she was never really happy.
At the age of 15, Autumn decided to go stay with her cousin, Emma Grace, back in Bandol for a while. Emma was her favorite cousin, and she was different than most their age, as well.
But, as time grew on, so did Autumn and Emma. Emma got older, and fell in love with a classmate from her college. They ended up marrying eachother a few months later, and Autumn had nowhere to go from there.
So, she moved back in with her family back in Dublin, and fell back in line with her dreadfully unhappy life.
But, when it finally seemed as if all hope was officially lost, quite a significant event happened. While she was in the Market one day, picking up some celery and sprouts for her mother, when she noticed a new sticky on the table by the gate entrance. Walking over to it casually, she grasped it in her hands, looking at it closely.
This piece of paper would hopefully change her life for the better. This paper wasn't just any paper -it was an advertisement poster for Chaford High.
&personality; Autumn is a shy and timid girl, who doesn't really do anything bad. She's very smart, and knows how to stay on top of things, even when everyone else is sinking below. She is kind at heart, but a very mysterious human being sometimes. Her parents raised her with the best of manners, and she's lived with those rules ever since. She's always helpful to those in need, and she knows her right from wrong (and left...). She's very artistic, and usually spends her days out in the garden sketching a new flower or tree that she's found. Autumn is overall a sweet person, and once you get to know her, you'll find that she's a very lovable girl who has a good heart.
She has an utter weakness for animals. Autumn will do anything to help them, and put them before herself, just as if they were another person. She loves people, as well, eventhough she's very shy around them. She loves to keep herself busy with schoolwork, art, or just helping out, so she tries to make as much out of her life as she can. Autumn is a woman of three great qualities; peace, simplicity, and equality. She was brought up that way, in the Quaker religion, and lives by those rules to their full and true meaning. She is a very sweet young lady, and can most likely catch any heart that she'd like to.

The sun was shining with a vengeance upon the forest. The sunlight filtered through the great oak leaves, casting a beautiful emerald light upon the forest floor. A wild deer sat upon a mound of dirt beneath a holly bush, daintily grazing on a pile of wild berries. Alexandre sat, crouched behind a thicket of bracken, gawking at the poor thing. He silently forced an arm into the middle of the bracken, and parted it to get a better veiw. With his bow and quiver in the other, he slowly retrieved his hand from the bracken, not taking his eyes off of the deer, and reached behind himself, grabbing for an arrow. His hand tossed around for a moment, awkwardly feeling around for an arrow, until finally, he fellt the soft feather in the middle of her fingertips. He grinned, silently pulling it out of his sling bag, locking it into his bow grip, and pulling the string backwards. He caught his tongue between his two lips, trying to concentrate. Suddenly, He lost balance, and his foot slammed down aimlessly on a twig with a loud Snap! He grimaced, thinking of the delicious dinner he would have had, as the deer darted away, disappearing behind the forest's lush green undergrowth. He grunted, and gathered his stuff, sitting up, and packing everything into the backpack. He slung a strap over his shoulder, and trudged back off to his family.
Once he arrived through the thresh hold, he threw his bag down, and plopped himself on the chair. Autumn had been in the kitchen, watching him come in.
"What's wrong?" She asked, stirring a big pot of stew for the family's dinner as he dragged himself into the kitchen and slumped over the counter. A stack of white envelopes lay in his hand.
"Nothing, I just ruined a great dinner." He mumbled, while thumbing over the stack of envelopes. Autumn kept her eye on them while she spoke.
"Oh, I'm sorry, but Mom and Dad told you that you aren't allowed to shoot animals." She repeated, her eyes still glued to the thick stack. Alexandre stood up quietly, yet saggingly.
"Yea, I guess you're right." He sighed as he turned back to the living room, but then stopped, "Oh, and this is for you." He said, flipping an envelope in Autumn's direction. Her heart pounded with shock as she caught it in her hands. She stared at it peculiarly, before reading the label.
Suddenly, she darted through the front door and out to the fields where her mom and dad were. They laughed, as they saw the excited look on her face.
"I GOT A LETTER ADVERTISING FOR AN ACTUAL SCHOOL IN AMERICA!!!" She cried, throwing her arms in the air. The letter was for Chaford High, and for some reason, it made her feel as though it was the happiest day of her life.
